CAREER Proposal Support

AE3 is offering three workshops supporting faculty who are in the process of submitting CAREER proposals:

CAREER Panel Discussion

In collaboration with the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Engineering, AE3 is hosting a panel of recent CAREER Award recipients. Panelists are available for an informal question and answer session, and will offer advice and perspective on writing successful proposals.

When:     Friday, March 20, 1:00-3:00

Where:    2405 Siebel

Mock CAREER Review Panel*

Participants will be asked to register for this mock proposal review panel, and to review previously submitted CAREER proposals in advance. Participants will then act as reviewers of these proposals in groups facilitated by senior faculty. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and perspective on what NSF panels look for in reviewing proposals.

When:     Friday, April 17, 1:00-3:00

Where:    1030 NCSA

*Registration required

Education and Outreach Forums

AE3 will host two forums during which participants can interact with current College of Engineering (COE) education and outreach program coordinators and representatives. The purpose of these forums is to familiarize those submitting CAREER proposals with existing outreach initiatives in the COE and to make connections that may strengthen and enhance this section of your proposal.

When:     Mid-May (date and location TBA)

A male professor listens to a student during a small group discussion class.
